Privacy Policy

YTivd is a free tool that lets you preview a YouTube video and download it directly from YouTube's content delivery network. We designed the service so that it needs as little information about you as possible.

Information we do not collect

• We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names or passwords.
• We do not keep a copy of the videos, audio files or thumbnails you download.
• We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Information we do process

• The link you paste. The video ID is sent to our server so it can look up the available formats and stream the file back to your browser. It is used for that request only and is not stored in a database.
• Technical request data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) may be recorded briefly to protect the service from abuse.
• Language preference. Your chosen interface language is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as how many people visit and which pages are popular. Analytics data is pseudonymised and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Advertising

The site may display advertising from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings, and you can block cookies in your browser at any time.

Third parties

Video previews are embedded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, and downloads are streamed from YouTube's own servers. Those requests are subject to Google's privacy policy in addition to ours.

Your choices

You can clear your local storage to reset your language preference, block or delete cookies for this site, or use the service with an ad blocker. Because we do not hold accounts, there is normally no personal profile for us to export or delete.

Children

YTivd is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the service handles data, we will update this page and revise the date shown above.
